OVERVIEW:
Parrtjima is the meeting place where old meets new. It is the only authentic Aboriginal light festival of its kind, showcasing the oldest continuous culture on earth through the newest technology – all on the 300-million-year-old natural canvas of the MacDonnell Ranges in Central Australia.
My role as a creative technologist was to enable the artist’s work to be visualised in the form of structure / sculpture. The key to the delivery was to ensure that the key elements of the artist's work were visualised in a stable and beautiful manner in a nighttime environment.
